Los Tall Boys Media – unincorporated and competing as Team Los Tall Boys – participated in the first CC7D in 2007 and received the Grand Jury Award in the Professional Category as well as three additional awards for its short film Mason's Midget. The group also received two awards for its short film Cannon. Fall. Run. at CC7D the following year.
Los Tall Boys Media became a limited liability company in 2009. In the spring of 2010, the group produced two short films, Black Market Tripas and Shoreline Drive. Shoreline Drive was named one of ten finalists in the first Texas Monthly Short Film Contest and screened at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin.
After helping to sponsor CC7D in 2009, Los Tall Boys Media returned to the contest as a competitor in 2010 and produced the short film Hell's Angel. Pete Lutz received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his portrayal of the titular character. All three shorts can be viewed by clicking on the "Films" tab.
Los Tall Boys Media is currently producing a new web series entitled A Perfect Union with plans for release in 2011.

A visual journalist and a founder of Los Tall Boys Media, Omar worked in various capacities for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times since 1999. His last position involved producing video and multimedia content for Caller.com. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He received an award from the Caller-Times for online video coverage of the 2008 U.S. presidential campaigns in Corpus Christi.
JAVIER BECERRA

A founder of Los Tall Boys Media and veteran sports writer, Javier spent 13 years with the Corpus Christi Caller-Times where he excelled in South Texas high school sports reporting. He is a graduate of Del Mar College and holds an Associate in Arts degree in Journalism. He earned several collegiate and professional awards for his work with the Del Mar College Foghorn and the Caller-Times.
